Our Services

We offer Worship services on the second Sunday of every month. Each month we try to provide a special gathering with a Theme to offer a broader interpretation of our Mission. These have included pancake making on Shrove Tuesday, Easter bonnets and egg hunt, pilgrimage round the churchyard (St Juthware - our Patron Saint), pumkin carving, Hallowmas, to name but a few. We hold concerts to fundraise and special Thankyou evenings in the churchyard to reward all our wonderful volunteers. This is a lively place for worship and to visit for peace. Our church is open every day of the year and refreshments are available to help yourself.

WELCOME

The Church is well supported by over 40 volunteers who keep the church open every day of the year and ensure a warm welcome.  We are rewilding part of the churchyard as part of the Living Churchyard initiative.

The church is mainly Victorian, with a 15th-century bell tower and a peal of five bells. There is a range of services and attendance is around 15, with over 60 attending special services and more at Christmas.

The name of the church was amended to include St Juthware to reflect the life of St Juthware, who was martyred in the village in Saxon times. She is included in the Sherborne Missal and is celebrated at the St Juthware festival each year.

The Church has vigourous fundraising activities for maintenance and repair of the fabric of the church building and there is much to offer you in the space, peace and tranquility of the Dorset Countryside.
